There are some really great books out there if you are looking at getting into graphic arts or webdesign. I don't have the space to list all of the great ones I have used, but here's a few I am currently working through.
CSS Mastery: Advanced Web Standards Solutions
If you are at all interested in webdesign or are curious about some of the styles I have used on this website, you might want to check out CSS Mastery. It might not be a good fit if you are a beginner, but it does have some really great advanced techniques and exercises.
